The Dot Commer Bar - (November 2nd 2001) I went to see The Sisters Of Murphy at the weekend and it was fucking great. They're currently doing a handful of free gigs in the Yorkshire area so I couldn't resist going. They played at a tiny pub in Huddersfield with only about 60 people there, only a small PA and very basic lightshow, but there was a hell of alot of smoke (it even found its way into the toilets!) and the gig had that essential spark to it. I spoke to Paddy (guitarist) afterwards and he said that the band were very nervous about doing a gig in such an intimate location, and the stage really wasn't big enough, but they had a good time nonetheless. Can't remember the exact set list but they opened with F & L & A, ended with Jolene and we got great versions of Adrenochrome, Gimme Shelter, Dr Jeep and Gimme Gimme Gimme - songs the real Sisters will probably never play live ever again.
