The Parish Pump - (November 15th 2001)

A most marvellous night was had by all! The smurphs are a must-see for any Sisters/Goth/Rock/Abba fans and Thursday demonstrated their excellence once again. (Erm.. cash please lads, the cheque might bounce)

Anyway, now the creeping's out of the way... much as we love the dear old P P, the venue was a bit limiting, both in terms of audience participation (not enough room for the old dancing malarkey, although we probably take up more room than others admittedly), and acoustically, which affected some of the 'bigger' tunes (Lucretia, Alice etc.) A bit too much of the Vision Thing album for J's personal taste as well but those minor grips aside it was a jolly good night. Atmosphere as friendly as always but a little quiet perhaps?!?

Always worth getting there early for the banter - ever thought of doing cabaret lads? Enjoyed the warm up especially hearing Under the Gun.

Walk Away, Marian, Gimme Gimme Gimme, Something Fast, No Time to Cry, Logic were particularly good on the night.

The tee-shirt has been washed and is looking forward to another outing at the West Riding - see you there or be a potato

Jenn adds PS to add to the new vs. old debate, very old or very new please (see above VT comment)

Mike adds Heartland perchance?
